Gaza flotilla activists detained

An Israeli court has extended the detention of two foreign activists arrested aboard a Gaza-bound aid flotilla intercepted in international waters.

The activists have alleged 'torture' and mistreatment by Israeli forces during their interrogation.

The United Nations has called for their immediate release and demanded a full investigation into the reports of abuse.

The detainees, a Spanish national and a Brazilian national, were part of a mission attempting to break the naval blockade of the Palestinian territory.
