Black hole jet power measured

The study utilized 18 years of high-resolution radio imaging obtained by a global telescope network.

Researchers tracked the jet speed at roughly 540 million km/h, approximately half the speed of light.

Previously, black hole jet power could only be averaged over tens of thousands of years.

This discovery provides crucial insights into how these energetic phenomena shape the growth and evolution of galaxies.
