The Vegas Golden Knights secured a 5-4 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, rallying from an early 2-0 deficit.

Tomas Hertl scored the go-ahead goal with just over three minutes remaining, pushing the Knights to their seventh straight playoff win.

Nikolaj Ehlers scored twice for the Hurricanes, including the opening goal just 25 seconds into the game, but it wasn't enough to hold off Vegas.

Teams that win Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final have historically gone on to win the championship 76.4% of the time.
