Bordeaux reach Champions Cup final

Defending champions Bordeaux Begles have secured their place in the Champions Cup final after a thrilling 38-26 victory over Bath on the French Atlantic coast.

Maxime Lucu starred for the holders, scoring 18 points to hold off a spirited second-half comeback from the English side.

Bordeaux will now face Leinster in the showpiece match in Bilbao on May 23, in what is being billed as a heavyweight clash between two of Europe's premier clubs.

The defeat for Bath ensures that no English Premiership team will be represented in either of this season's major European finals.
