Pentagon Submits Record $1.5 Trillion Budget

The Department of Defense has requested a record-breaking $1.5 trillion budget to modernize the U.S. military and replenish critical munitions.

A significant portion of the funding is earmarked for 'presidential priorities,' including $750 billion for the Golden Dome missile defense system and $54 billion for drone technology.

Officials admitted that the request was formulated before the outbreak of the Iran war, meaning additional emergency appropriations will likely be needed.

The budget faces a skeptical Congress as lawmakers weigh military needs against rising domestic economic pressures.
