Trump Defamation Suit Dismissed
President Donald Trump has suffered a legal setback after a Florida judge tossed out his defamation claim against the Wall Street Journal and Rupert Murdoch.
The lawsuit centered on an article describing a sexually suggestive birthday card Trump allegedly sent to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Judge Darrin P. Gayles determined that the president's legal team did not provide sufficient evidence that the report was published with a reckless disregard for the truth.
While the case was dismissed, the judge granted Trump's attorneys the opportunity to amend the complaint and refile by late April.
