Ebola-exposed Americans evacuated

An American doctor and his family who were exposed to the Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo have been flown to Europe for monitoring.

The White House has denied reports that it initially blocked the doctor's return to the United States.

Dr. Peter Stafford and his family were transported on a special flight to a Berlin isolation ward after testing positive for the virus.

The administration's response has drawn criticism from some public health experts who argue that delays in providing care could be catastrophic.

Meanwhile, Czech authorities have stressed that a separate U.S. citizen admitted to a Prague hospital poses no risk to the public.
