Kyiv Supermarket Attack Kills Six

The Ukrainian capital was rocked by a rare and deadly shooting when a 58-year-old man opened fire on passersby before barricading himself inside a supermarket with hostages.

Among the injured was a 12-year-old boy, as police negotiators attempted to end the crisis peacefully for nearly an hour.

Ukrainian investigators are currently examining whether the attack was directed by Moscow, given the suspect's background.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has offered his condolences to the families of the victims and vowed a thorough investigation into the gunman's motives.
