North Korea tests new missiles

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un supervised a series of missile tests from a new naval destroyer over the weekend, according to state media.

The tests included strategic cruise missiles and anti-ship weapons designed to boost the navy's operational capabilities with nuclear-capable technology.

Kim pledged to further expand his collection of blackout bombs and cluster warhead rockets during the three-day exercise.

The trials come as regional tensions remain high following recent military drills by the United States and its allies in the Pacific.
