Ukraine Hits Russian Oil Refinery

Ukraine Hits Russian Oil Refinery

The attack on the Tuapse refinery, the second in less than a week, is part of an intensified Ukrainian campaign to strike at the Kremlin's 'oil war chest.' Military intelligence in Kyiv also claimed successful strikes on two large Russian landing ships in Sevastopol Bay, further degrading Moscow's naval capabilities in occupied Crimea.

The use of advanced long-range drones and internet-based guidance systems has allowed Ukraine to hit targets more than 500 kilometers away from the front lines.

In response, President Vladimir Putin has ordered a massive retaliatory drone assault on several Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv.
