Artemis II Nears Moon

Artemis II Nears Moon

Astronauts aboard the Orion capsule are preparing for a manual flight test as they approach the record for the farthest distance traveled by a crewed spacecraft.

Despite the technological triumph, the crew has been forced to troubleshoot a malfunctioning toilet that may be blocked by frozen urine.

Commander Reid Wiseman also reported minor technical frustrations with personal computing devices during the transit.

The mission remains on track for its scheduled lunar fly-around, providing the first human views of the Moon's far side in over half a century.
