Lilly adds $4.5B to Indiana expansion

Eli Lilly and Company has unveiled plans to invest an additional $4.5 billion in its Indiana manufacturing facilities to meet the overwhelming global demand for its weight-loss and diabetes treatments.

This latest commitment brings the pharmaceutical giant's total investment in the state to over $21 billion since 2022.

The funding will primarily support the production of Mounjaro and Zepbound, which have seen record sales as they become the world's top-selling drugs.

The expansion is expected to create hundreds of high-wage jobs and solidify Indiana's role as a global hub for biotechnology manufacturing.
