Trump downplays war-driven inflation
At a roundtable promoting his 'no tax on tips' policy, President Trump sought to assuage voter fears regarding the cost of living.
He claimed that the current energy crisis is temporary and that a deal with Iran to end the blockade is 'very close.' However, recent polling suggests that a majority of US voters blame the administration's foreign policy for the surge in gasoline prices.
Trump also suggested he might travel to Pakistan to finalize a peace agreement if negotiations continue to progress.
