Mexico to Host Iran's World Cup Team

President Claudia Sheinbaum has announced that Mexico has 'no issue' hosting the Iranian national team, which will now use Tijuana as its primary base camp.

The Iranian Football Federation requested the move after the U.S. government declined to issue visas for the squad's original training site in California.

Iranian players will be forced to commute across the border for their group-stage matches in Los Angeles and Seattle.

This unprecedented arrangement highlights the deepening geopolitical tensions surrounding the tournament, as Mexico positions itself as a neutral host for teams facing diplomatic hurdles in the United States.
