Prince Andrew freedom stripped
The City of London Corporation has formally requested that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor give up his Freedom of the City honor, which he received in 2012.
Elected members agreed to write to the disgraced former prince, citing the continuing damage to the city's reputation.
Andrew is currently residing at Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate, having largely withdrawn from public life.
This latest development represents another significant loss of status for the Duke of York as civic institutions distance themselves from his associations.
