Asda and Ocado Partnership

Asda has struck a major deal with retail technology firm Ocado to completely overhaul its online shopping and home delivery business.

The supermarket giant's home deliveries will be taken over by Ocado starting in early 2027.

The partnership aims to modernize Asda's digital infrastructure and improve efficiency as it battles for market share in the UK. Ocado's shares surged following the announcement, which provides a much-needed boost to its automated technology division.

Asda will also introduce over 230 new products as part of a broader transformation of its frozen food category.
