Syrian government reshuffle

Syrian government reshuffle

Syria's interim President Ahmad al-Sharaa has implemented a significant government reshuffle, removing several top ministers and officials.

Most notably, al-Sharaa removed his own brother from the influential post of secretary-general at the presidency following widespread accusations of nepotism.

The changes come as the administration attempts to project an image of reform and unity in a nation still deeply divided by civil war.

The reshuffle also coincides with Syria's public support for recent security measures taken by Bahrain against Iranian-linked groups.
