Lebanese Journalist Killed in Strike

Amal Khalil, a journalist for the Al-Akhbar newspaper, was killed in the village of al-Tiri while covering the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

Lebanon's President and Prime Minister have both condemned the killing as a targeted attack intended to suppress reporting on military conduct.

Reports indicate that paramedics were forced to retreat after coming under fire, leaving Khalil trapped under rubble for hours.

The Committee to Protect Journalists has expressed outrage, noting that Khalil is the ninth journalist killed in the region this year.
