Oklahoma principal tackles gunman

A potentially deadly tragedy was averted at Pauls Valley High School when Principal Kirk Moore charged at a gunman in the school's lobby.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Victor Lee Hawkins, was armed with two semi-automatic handguns and reportedly planned to carry out a Columbine-style attack.

Moore's quick actions allowed other staff members to intervene and subdue the gunman until police arrived.

The principal is currently recovering from his injuries, and the suspect has been charged with multiple counts of attempted murder.
