The demerger follows a structural review of the conglomerate, which also owns major brands like Twinings, Kingsmill, and Patak's.

ABF's share price fell following the announcement, as the company warned that the Iran war was likely to impact costs and consumer demand.

The split will result in two separate listings on the London Stock Exchange.
