Meta Unveils Muse Spark AI
Spearheaded by Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang, Muse Spark is described as a natively multimodal reasoning model designed to power the Meta AI assistant.
While Meta touts strong performance on benchmark tests, the company admits there are still performance gaps in agentic and coding systems compared to its rivals.
The launch follows a massive internal reorganization that saw engineers directed to rewrite the company's codebase to be 'AI-native.' Meta plans to integrate the model across its suite of social media apps to enhance user interaction and reasoning capabilities.
