Scientists Smuggle Mpox Virus

Two scientists at a U.S. government lab have been charged with smuggling vials of deactivated mpox virus into the country from Africa without permits.

They also allegedly lied about it to investigators during interviews at a Michigan airport.

The case against Vincent Munster and Claude Kwe has been unsealed in federal court in Detroit.
