US Kills Three in Pacific Boat Strike

U.S. Southern Command released footage of the strike, which officials say targeted a boat suspected of transporting drugs toward the American border.

The campaign has now resulted in the destruction of 52 vessels and the deaths of 174 people since it began.

While the Pentagon maintains the actions are necessary to combat narco-terrorism, human rights groups have condemned the strikes as 'extrajudicial killings.' No U.S. personnel were harmed in the latest action, which occurred in international waters.

The escalation of maritime strikes comes as the administration seeks to project strength during the ongoing conflict with Iran.
