Scott Parker leaves Burnley

Burnley head coach Scott Parker has left the club by mutual consent following their relegation from the Premier League.

The departure comes just four games before the end of the season as the club prepares for life back in the Championship.

Assistant coach Mike Jackson has been named interim manager for the remaining fixtures.

Reports suggest that former England midfielder Steven Gerrard is among the favorites to succeed Parker on a permanent basis.
