Knife crime deaths surge in England
Research shows that youngsters from the poorest areas are seven times more likely to fall victim to blade violence.
Three-quarters of the victims were reportedly known to social services prior to their deaths, raising questions about prevention and support systems.
The study highlights a significant increase in fatal stabbings among those aged 17 and under over the past five years.
Ministers are being urged to make tackling knife crime a top priority as the human toll continues to mount.
