Brooklyn Bridge Burns During Fireworks

A section of the Brooklyn Bridge caught fire during New York City's massive July 4 fireworks display, sending plumes of black smoke into the night sky.

The FDNY quickly extinguished the blaze, and no injuries were reported.

The fire broke out as thousands gathered across the city to watch the 50th Annual Macy's 4th of July fireworks show.

President Trump praised the bridge during his National Mall speech as the incident unfolded.
