Gilgo Beach killer pleads guilty

In a surprise legal development, Rex Heuermann pleaded guilty to multiple counts of murder, including a previously uncharged killing dating back to 1996.

The 62-year-old architect, whose arrest in 2023 was made possible through advanced DNA analysis, will now spend the remainder of his life in prison without the possibility of parole.
