Matt Fitzpatrick wins RBC Heritage
Matt Fitzpatrick overcame a hostile crowd and the world's best player to claim his fourth PGA Tour victory.
After Scheffler forced a playoff in the final round, Fitzpatrick delivered a superb 4-iron shot to within 13 feet, setting up the winning birdie.
The victory moves Fitzpatrick to a career-high number three in the world rankings and marks a successful partnership with his new caddie, Daniel Parratt.
Despite the 'USA' chants directed at him, the Sheffield-born golfer maintained his composure to secure the $3.6 million top prize.
