Sudan war enters fourth year

Wednesday marks the third anniversary of the outbreak of hostilities in Sudan, a conflict that has displaced over 13 million people.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for an immediate end to the arms flow, describing the situation as a 'nightmare' for civilians.

While international donors pledged $1.5 billion in aid at a conference in Berlin, the Sudanese government has rejected the outcome.

The war has been largely overshadowed by recent events in the Middle East, leading aid agencies to label it an 'abandoned crisis.'
