Israel and Hezbollah Agree Ceasefire

The United States has brokered a 10-day temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, which began at midnight on Friday.

While the truce has been met with celebrations in Beirut and Sidon, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that the military will continue to hold captured areas and clear Hezbollah infrastructure.

The agreement is seen as a potential gateway to broader negotiations between the U.S. and Iran to end the regional war.

However, the Lebanese army has already reported several violations of the agreement in southern border regions.
