Ukraine Reopens Druzhba Pipeline
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the repair on Tuesday, resolving a three-month hiatus that had jeopardized Kyiv's international financing.
Resuming the flow of Russian crude places Ukraine in a difficult diplomatic position even as it calls for tighter global sanctions against Moscow.
The first tranche of the EU loan is now expected to be delivered by early June, providing critical support for Ukraine's wartime economy.
However, officials warned that the infrastructure remains a high-priority target for future Russian kinetic and cyber attacks.
