Russia Halts Kazakh Oil to Germany

In a move that threatens to further strain European energy security, Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak confirmed that Kazakh oil flows to Germany will be halted next month.

The decision impacts the PCK refinery in Schwedt, which has relied on these shipments to mitigate the loss of direct Russian crude.

While Moscow cited technical issues possibly related to recent drone strikes on infrastructure, German officials are viewing the move with concern.

Kazakhstan's energy minister confirmed the suspension, noting that the flows will likely be diverted elsewhere.
