Israel and Lebanon Agree Ceasefire

In a significant diplomatic breakthrough, President Donald Trump announced that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun have agreed to a 10-day ceasefire.

This development follows the first direct high-level contact between the two nations in over three decades, mediated by the United States.

The agreement is intended to create space for broader negotiations to end the hostilities that have ravaged southern Lebanon since early March.

While the truce is a major step toward stability, officials remain cautious as the ceasefire does not explicitly include Hezbollah militants.
