Trump Defamation Suit Against WSJ Dismissed

Trump Defamation Suit Against WSJ Dismissed

In a significant legal setback for the president, a Florida judge has tossed out Donald Trump's lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal and Rupert Murdoch.

The suit centered on a 2003 birthday greeting for Jeffrey Epstein that the paper alleged bore Trump's signature.

U.S. District Judge Darrin P. Gayles found that the complaint did not plausibly allege the story was published with the intent to be malicious.

While the case was dismissed, the judge has given Trump until April 27 to amend his complaint and refile the suit.
