Iran Rejects New Peace Talks

Despite President Donald Trump's announcement that a US delegation led by Vice President JD Vance would travel to Pakistan, Iran has signaled it will not participate.

Tehran's chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, stated that there would be 'no retreat' in diplomacy but emphasized that the current US terms are unrealistic.

The refusal comes amid a fragile ceasefire that is set to expire this week, raising fears of a return to full-scale hostilities.

Tensions are further inflamed by the recent US seizure of an Iranian vessel, which Tehran has labeled a violation of the existing truce.
