Australia crushed England by seven wickets at Lord’s to win the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup for a record-extending seventh time.

Beth Mooney’s unbeaten 64 anchored the chase of 151 with ease, after the bowlers had restricted the hosts.

The victory capped an unbeaten campaign for Australia and dashed England’s hopes of a first title since 2009.

ICC chairman Jay Shah hailed the tournament as a milestone, declaring women’s cricket is in a ‘golden era’.
