North Korean soccer team in South

A North Korean women's soccer team has arrived in South Korea to compete in the AFC Women's Champions League semifinals, marking a rare sporting exchange.

The visit by Naegohyang Women's FC is the first by a North Korean team to the South in eight years.

The delegation of 27 players and 12 staff entered the country via Incheon International Airport ahead of their match against Suwon FC Women.

While the trip is unlikely to catalyze a diplomatic thaw, it has generated significant public interest and sold-out match tickets.
