Artemis II captures Earth images
As the Artemis II mission reaches its third day, the four-person crew has successfully completed a critical translunar injection burn to leave Earth's orbit.
Commander Reid Wiseman and his team shared breathtaking views of the blue planet, featuring vivid auroras and the vastness of the Pacific Ocean.
The mission marks a pivotal milestone in NASA's plan to return humans to the lunar surface by 2028.
Despite minor technical hurdles with the onboard waste management system and software, the crew reports they are in high spirits as they approach the moon.
