Artemis II passes lunar halfway
As the Orion capsule hurtles toward the lunar far side, the Artemis II crew has shared breathtaking new images of Earth and insights into their daily life in space.
Despite minor technical hurdles, including a troubleshooting effort regarding the spacecraft's wastewater system, the mission remains on track for its scheduled lunar fly-around.
The crew, consisting of three Americans and one Canadian, is testing critical life-support systems that will pave the way for future Mars exploration.
Their messages home emphasize a sense of awe and the shared human spirit of exploration as they push deeper into the cosmos than any generation before them.
