Georgia and Florida Wildfires Rage

Extreme drought conditions and strong winds are fueling some of the worst fire seasons in decades for the southeastern United States.

In Georgia, a major blaze has already consumed nearly 50 homes, while Florida firefighters are currently battling over 130 active fires.

Mandatory evacuation orders have been issued for several coastal communities, with school buses being used to transport residents to safety.

Officials warn that low humidity will keep the fire danger elevated for several days, as community volunteers gather to provide free meals and support to those displaced by the flames.
