US Licenses Ukraine to Build Patriots

The licence allows Ukraine to produce Patriot interceptors domestically, reducing reliance on Western supplies.

The move was announced during Trump’s meeting with Zelenskyy at the NATO summit, alongside $80 billion in allied aid.

Russia warned that the decision would prolong the war.

Germany and Japan already have similar licences, but Ukraine faces significant technical hurdles to begin production.
