Trump takes credit for Hormuz

President Trump told reporters that the fight over the Strait of Hormuz is 'over' and that Iran has agreed to suspend its nuclear program indefinitely.

However, Iranian officials have disputed several of Trump's claims, stating that the reopening is conditional on the ongoing Israel-Lebanon ceasefire.

Critics have compared Trump's triumphalist rhetoric to past 'mission accomplished' claims, noting that a permanent peace deal has yet to be finalized.
