Gilgo Beach Serial Killer Pleads Guilty

Heuermann’s guilty plea covers a series of cold case murders that haunted Long Island for over 30 years.

Prosecutors revealed that DNA evidence, including a discarded pizza crust, was instrumental in snaring the killer who had maintained a mundane middle-class life while committing horrific crimes.

More than 30 relatives of the victims were present in court to hear the confession, describing it as the end of a nightmare.

Heuermann now faces multiple life sentences without the possibility of parole for his role in the slayings.
