Iran seizes ships in Hormuz

Tensions in the world's most critical oil chokepoint have escalated sharply as Iranian naval forces targeted multiple vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) opened fire on at least three container ships, causing significant damage to the bridge of one vessel.

These aggressive actions appear to be a direct response to the ongoing U.S. naval blockade and the recent seizure of an Iranian commercial vessel.

The maritime attacks have complicated international efforts to resume peace talks in Pakistan, as Iran signals it will not be intimidated by external military pressure.
