Italy Expels Russian Diplomats for Spying

Italy expelled two Russian diplomats accused of running a spy ring, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said on Thursday.

The expulsion came after the arrest of two retired Italian intelligence officers who allegedly passed on information to Moscow.

The Russian foreign ministry, quoted by state news agency RIA Novosti, said Moscow would react with 'an appropriate response'.
