Artemis II Crew Returns Safely

NASA's Artemis II mission concluded on Friday evening as the Orion spacecraft Integrity safely landed in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego.

The crew, consisting of three Americans and one Canadian, traveled farther from Earth than any humans in history during their record-breaking 695,081-mile journey.

Recovery operations involving the US Navy's USS John P. Murtha were executed flawlessly, with helicopters hoisting the healthy astronauts from the capsule.

This successful test of deep-space systems paves the way for a crewed lunar landing within the next two years.
