U.S. Seizes Iranian Ship

The fragile ceasefire between the United States and Iran is on the verge of collapse following the seizure of the Iranian-flagged vessel Touska.

President Donald Trump announced that U.S. Marines took custody of the ship after it allegedly attempted to bypass a naval blockade.

In response, Iran has shuttered the Strait of Hormuz to all maritime traffic and threatened swift military retaliation.

This escalation occurs just as diplomatic delegations were scheduled to meet in Pakistan for a second round of peace negotiations.
