UN peacekeeper dies in Lebanon

Corporal Rico Pramudia, an Indonesian member of the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), has died from injuries sustained in a March 29 projectile explosion.

His death brings the total number of peacekeepers killed in the current conflict to six.

The incident occurred at a UN base in Adchit Al Qusayr during intense exchanges between Israeli forces and Hezbollah.

UN officials have condemned the ongoing attacks on peacekeepers, while French President Emmanuel Macron has called for an immediate de-escalation to protect international personnel.
