Jamie Dornan Joins LOTR Prequel

Dornan will portray the character famously played by Viggo Mortensen in the original trilogy, a move that has drawn a mixed reaction from the franchise's dedicated fanbase.

The film, directed by Andy Serkis, will also see the return of Ian McKellen as Gandalf and Elijah Wood as Frodo.

New cast members include Leo Woodall and Kate Winslet, who are set to join the journey through Middle-earth.

The movie is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on December 17, 2027.
