The 'Rocket' Ronnie O’Sullivan showed no signs of slowing down as he began his bid for a record eighth world title in Sheffield.

He required just 35 minutes of the second session to wrap up a comfortable win over his younger Chinese opponent.

O’Sullivan's decision to switch to a decades-old cue proved successful, despite what he called a 'roll of the dice' gamble.
